Automatic Bag-on-Valve (BOV) Aerosol Packaging Line Overview

Standard Industrial Configuration: Engineered strictly in accordance with standardized factory drawings (Total nominal length: 20,750 mm). Delivers a verified continuous output of 50–60 cans/min (3,000–3,600 cans/hour). Built with food and pharmaceutical contact standards using SUS316L stainless steel fluid pathways and complete CE compliance.

The AILE automatic Bag-on-Valve (BOV) line represents modern barrier packaging technology. Unlike our standard aerosol filling line designed for conventional propellants, BOV separates the liquid product into a laminated multi-layer pouch while clean compressed air or nitrogen (N2) surrounds the bag inside the can. Learn more about Bag-on-Valve technology and the BOV filling process.

The integrated sequence synchronizes empty can feeding, dual-head under-the-cup propellant charging and crimping, 6-head through-the-valve positive displacement dosing, inline container pressure inspection, checkweighing, spray button placing, outer capping, and automatic shrink sleeve labeling with steam tunnel finishing.

The complete linear inline production line occupies an overall footprint span of 20.75 meters, integrating filling, testing, and full downstream packaging:

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the verified production speed of this BOV aerosol line? +
The verified continuous output of this 6-head filling configuration is 50–60 cans/min (3,000–3,600 cans/hour). Actual output depends on your specific liquid dosing volume and pouch viscous resistance. Explore additional automatic BOV filling line setups or our standard aerosol filling line for conventional sprays.
2. How does the Bag-on-Valve process differ from traditional aerosol filling? +
In BOV technology, the propellant (compressed air or N2) is injected under the valve cup and sealed into the empty can first. The active product is then injected directly through the valve into a sealed internal pouch. The liquid never contacts the propellant, preventing chemical oxidation and ensuring pure product dispensing.
3. What is the role of the online inner pressure testing station? +
The inline pressure testing machine inspects the equilibrium pressure of each filled container. If a can fails to reach the required gas pressure or exhibits micro-leaks, the system flags and rejects it downstream automatically to prevent defective products from entering the market.
4. What workshop floor space is required to install this line? +
According to the factory engineering layout, the linear straight machine span is exactly 20,750 mm (20.75 meters). We recommend a minimal facility floor area of 24m × 4m to allow comfortable operator access, pallet staging, and maintenance clearance.
5. Can AILE validate the machine with our BOV pouches and formulations before shipment? +
Yes. Clients routinely ship sample cans, valves with attached pouches, actuators, and product batches to our facility. We perform full pre-shipment FAT wet tests to verify dosing repeatability, crimping diameter, and internal pressure retention. Check our FAT testing criteria for details.
